What to Expect from a House Wash
Our standard house wash service is designed to safely and effectively remove organic buildup such as mold, mildew, algae, dirt, cobwebs, and general surface grime from the exterior of your home. We use a low-pressure "soft wash" system combined with specialized cleaning solutions to ensure a deep clean without damaging siding, paint, or other surfaces.
Typical areas cleaned include:
- Vinyl, brick, or stucco siding
- Soffits and fascia
- Exterior trim and gutters (face only)
- Window exteriors (rinsed only, not detailed)
What’s Not Included or Guaranteed in a House Wash:
The following items are not included in a standard house wash unless otherwise quoted:
- Oil, grease, or rust stains
- Paint oxidation removal or chalky residue treatment
- Hard water stains on windows or glass
- Detailed window cleaning (spotless or squeegee method)
- Stain removal from concrete, brick, or foundation surfaces
- Damaged or compromised areas (e.g., loose siding, faulty caulk, dry rot)
- Artillery Fungus
- Fallout
- Oxidation
- Tiger Stripes on Gutters
Note: Some older stains, oxidation, or discoloration may not be fully removed with a standard wash. Stain removal and specialty services can be quoted separately as needed.
What is Artillery Fungus?
Artillery fungus (Sphaerobolus spp.) is a wood-decay fungus found in mulch or organic material. It can launch tiny black spore masses up to 20 feet onto siding, garages, or vehicles.

Important: These spores are not removed in a standard house wash and may require professional remediation.
What You Can Do:
- Replace mulch with stone or non-organic material
- Manual removal is possible but may damage siding
What is Fallout on a House?
Fallout refers to industrial or metallic particles that settle on siding and cause orange or rust-like spots.

Important: Fallout is not removed with soft washing and may require specialty treatments.
What is Oxidation?
Oxidation is the fading or chalky residue on older vinyl or metal siding caused by sun and weather exposure.

Important: Soft washing will not remove oxidation. In fact, it may make faded or oxidized areas stand out more after cleaning.
What Are Tiger Stripes on Gutters?
Tiger stripes are vertical streaks caused by electrostatic bonding of pollutants to gutter faces. These streaks require special chemicals and manual scrubbing.

Important: Gutter whitening or stripe removal is a separate add-on service and is not included in a basic house wash.
